 An implantable cardioverter-defibrillators or cardioverter-interventional splint is a medical device that uses the concept of using electrical energy from the patient's body to alter the pumping action of the heart in order to stop a heart attack. The device is thus capable of correcting many life-threatening heart arrhythmias caused by defective cardiac rhythms. Implantable cardioverter is very effective and saves lives every day.
