Artificial Intelligence in Chatbot Security; Identify and Prevent Cyber Threats With Less Human Intervention

Artificial intelligence in chatbot security

Artificial intelligence in chatbot security is defined as having machines do smart or intelligent things on their own without human guidance. An artificial intelligence (AI) driven chatbot is a software that help to process the interactions between virtual assistants and humans. Artificial intelligence in chatbot security helps identify and prevent cyber threats with traditional security approaches, usually with little or no human intervention. AI increases the security level of data, reducing the risk of cyber threats. Chatbot integrated devices enable automation by customizing text/voice, help reduce customer effort, and improve organizations analytical capabilities.
The advancement of artificial intelligence in chatbot security is coming at a very fast pace and there are already some botnets running on low cost platforms and can even detect intrusions. AI-driven chatbots are the next evolution of e-commerce. Today's e-commerce is all about the integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to make things easier and streamline processes. With AI-driven chatbots, one can easily integrate a virtual assistant into the business. A virtual assistant works as a business's go-between, aiding communications between clients and staff, handling scheduling and follow-up calls, and handling tasks that are out of the company's skill set.

The two main security processes for chatbots are authentication and authorization. They protect user information, so it is safe to interact with them or integrate them into the business. However, chatbots can present an enticing target for hackers. As consumers get used to interacting with chatbots, there will be new opportunities for hacking, phishing, and common mischiefs. Thus, with increasing cyber-attacks on industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, banking, etc., the demand for artificial intelligence in chatbot security is also increasing rapidly. The United States is the number one target for targeted cyber-attacks. The U.S. government spent around US$ 15 billion on cyber security related activities in 2019, up 4% over the previous year.
