Cranes are now one of the most important pieces of construction equipment, with major manufacturers releasing new models

Crane is a kind of mechanical machine, usually equipped with sheaves, wire ropes, or chains, and a crane hoist, which is used to move and lift objects vertically and horizontally. Also known as cranes or tow motors, it is primarily used for moving heavy objects vertically and moving them over short distances. In industries, it is mostly used for lifting loads and moving them from one place to another. It can also be used to carry out small scale home projects such as the placing of some artwork, furniture pieces, and so on. The main purpose of a crane hoist/crane is to lift the objects vertically and move them over distances. Moreover, it is the most useful piece of equipment in construction areas, especially in building construction.
In addition to the standard crane, there are two additional ones, namely, mobile crane and outriggers. A mobile crane is one, which can be easily moved from one place to another. On the other hand, outriggers are the ones, which facilitate movement in horizontal directions. The use of crane outriggers is preferred in some construction zones, particularly in dockyards, where the lifting capacity is very high. However, it is much difficult to use while working on a tall building or any building with great height.

The boom is another important piece of construction equipment. It is usually installed on the ground in an area where there is a need to do some construction work. It helps in providing support to the construction work, by keeping the workers, who are working on the work platform, attached to the crane. Boom is also known as the area machine since it facilitates positioning without much hassle to the workers. However, the boom is the most complicated and expensive piece of crane machinery. Recently, in August 2020, Manitowoc Inc., a U.S.-based company, launched a new MCT 275 tower crane.
