What is security labels? How it is useful in protecting identity of the company?

Security labels

Security labels is a relatively new anti-counterfeit technology that is used by the protection industry. It protect products from being copied and fraudulently marketed. It is also useful for companies who require tamper-proof packaging for their goods. A label is an adhesive label that is applied to a product, such as a CD or DVD so that the product is identified and protected. Labels also provide many advantages in the home environment.

What are they? These labels prevent tampering and fraud by leaving a permanent, indelible mark on the package when someone attempts to remove or alter the label without destroying it. The best custom labels often incorporate overt and covert security features as well as durable, high-quality materials for prolonged use. Many manufacturers are using laser-engraving, bar code technology, and UV laser printing on custom security labels to improve the quality of the labels. Laser engraving can be used to create a high-resolution security label, but one must use a high-quality inkjet printer to avoid smudges on the product while it is printing.

Security Labels - How Do They Work? The manufacturer applies an adhesive to the back so that it adheres directly to the product package, including all side seams and corners. The label is not considered to be tamper-proof until it is applied and there is no tack left to cause the removal of the label when it is removed. If the package has been tampered with, all that must be done is to remove the labels from the package without shattering the adhesive on the back of the label. Tampering to the labels is not evident until the adhesive has been removed, leaving an imprint of the company name, address, phone number, website, etc.
