Drug discovery informatics covers a wide range of technology areas, including biotechnology, bioinformatics, clinical trials, nutraceuticals, bioeconomics, information systems, pharmacology, and others. The field is further divided into three core areas: clinical, regulatory, and informatics. Each encompasses a different subset of the disease or condition the product is meant to treat, as well as different types of information management systems.
