Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems is aiding hospitals with accurate patient records and secure sharing of electronic information with clinicians

An electronic health record (EHR) system is the networked group of patients and health data electronically stored in a computerized format. The main purpose of an electronic health record system is to save money by reducing the use of paper-based systems by avoiding extra service charges on patients who see a doctor outside their organization. Electronic health records are more accurate than older systems and allow for more comprehensive patient care, but there are some systems that are easier to work with than others.

In November 2019, the Government of Germany introduced Digital Supply Act to digitalize healthcare along with patient data for medical research with the addition of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
