High Prevalence of Chronic Disorders to Boost Adoption of In Vitro Diagnostics in United States

Diagnostic technology has evolved over the years. Advancements in laboratory science, instrumentation and analysis have led to the introduction of more advanced technologies such as molecular biology, DNA technology, molecular chemistry, cell culture technology, bioanalytical techniques, clinical technologies, computer-aided diagnostic procedures and many others. As these technologies are continuously developed, new diagnostic tools are being introduced in the market that will help doctors evaluate various illnesses and diseases.
Recent research conducted at University of Michigan showed that the number of new diagnostic tools is increasing steadily, and this trend has been observed among medical institutions and healthcare providers as well. High prevalence of chronic disorders to boost adoption of in vitro diagnostics in United States. In January 2020, the FDA finalized its In Vitro Guidance for the pharmaceutical industry in order to help drug developers plan and evaluate studies to determine the drug-drug interaction potential of an investigational drug product.
In vitro diagnostics applications and products have emerged in the market, providing a variety of services. The market for diagnostic testing instruments such as immunoassays, enzyme assays and other clinical laboratory testing equipment has become very competitive, which is why manufacturers are continuously launching innovative and improved diagnostic testing products. The market for laboratory testing equipment such as spectrophotometers, immunoassays, spectrophotometric analyzers, molecular biology analyzers, ion mobility spectrophotometry and microarray analysis instruments is also developing rapidly and expanding at an alarming pace. In the past, such testing equipment used to be expensive but the manufacturers are now producing similar products for less price with better features.
There is huge demand for in vitro diagnostics in all parts of the world. For example, United States has a major demand for IVD for the treatment of several health conditions like diabetes and cancer, and is considered as a primary care tool. The diagnostic equipment for this procedure is available in the form of testing kits that are directly accessible for home use, but can be customized according to the individual needs. Many medical institutions and health care centers are using IVD test equipment to diagnose patients to identify abnormalities or diseases and to provide treatment.

There are several types of diagnostic test equipment available in the market. One of the most common types is the immunoassay, which uses antibodies as an antigen and measures the amount of antibody produced in response to a specific antigen. Other instruments that are used in clinical laboratory testing are the chromatin immunoassays, enzyme immunoassays, genetic analysis assays and other type of enzyme immunoassays. Other equipment that can be used in the diagnostic process include blood chemistry analyzers and immunoradiometric analyzers. Some instruments also include microarray technology and immunoreactivity analyzers, which have the ability to detect proteins that are specific to a particular disease.
