Heavy Power Surgical Tools Have Revolutionized the World of Orthopedic Surgery

Heavy power surgical tools are widely used during orthopedic surgeries to help relive traumatic pain. These devices are activated by a power source and help perform specific procedures, such as gaining access to see an organ or adjusting biological tissue. Heavy power surgical tools are used in all aspects of orthopedic surgery and are also used in the drilling and reaming procedures in long bone fractures performed by using screws and intramedullary nails. These tools offer advantages such as long life cycle, enhanced reliability, and high performance.

Heavy power surgical tools are lighter, user-friendly than conventional orthopedic tools and can be easily handled while performing orthopedic surgeries. These tools are classified into three types such as electric powered orthopedic tools, battery-operated power systems, and pneumatic power tools. Moreover, these tools help perform surgical procedures with greater speed and higher accuracy.
Heavy power surgical tools are used to perform minimally invasive surgeries with a minuscule incision, reduced risk of bleeding, shortens hospital stay, and offer faster recovery. With the increasing demand for minimally invasive surgeries to treat orthopedic, neurosurgical, or spinal disorders, increasing number of accidents, growing geriatric population, and the increasing incidence of spinal injuries, the demand for heavy power surgical tools is also increasing. For instance, around 5,000 people in Japan sustain spinal injuries each year, and the cumulative number of victims is more than 100,000.
Moreover, in 2019, Japan's health ministry approved the use of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells to treat spinal cord injuries. Furthermore, the demand for such tools is increasing with the increasing prevalence of orthopedic disorders (such as osteoarthritis). Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent disease in Mexico. Women are more likely to develop osteoarthritis than men, especially after age 50, the risk of developing osteoarthritis increases with age.
