Gaffers Tape Finds Application in Theatre, Photography, Film, Radio and Television Production, and Industrial Staging Work

Gaffers tape is an excellent tape for sealing, protecting and organizing any type of job site. The tape is a high quality tape with a matte finish that can be used for almost anything you need it to. No matter what you're sealing, protecting or organizing, it's possible to find a superior adhesive tape made from vinyl film with a matte-finish, heat-resistant, chemical-resistant backing. Invented in the U.S., it is widely used in theatre, photography, film, radio and television production, and industrial staging work.

Gaffers tape comes in many different colors, including white, blue, red, green, yellow, pink, purple, tan and black. It is also available in different sizes to accommodate jobs ranging from a home repair to industrial maintenance. It comes in a sixty-yard roll which can handle jobs ranging from a tiny pin hole to a giant tree trimming job. This sixty-yard roll is made of a high-quality cotton cloth pressure-sensitive tape with a matte-finish vinyl coating that helps the tape resist being stretched and shrunk when it comes in contact with moisture.
It is easy to install using gaffers tape. Just peel off the protective backing on the tape, making sure there are no dirt or crumbs on the sticky side of the tape before sticking it down. You should probably use double-sided tape, if you're installing large areas or building structures or if you expect the tape to stand up against moisture. It is not recommended to glue down Gaffers tape directly to the surface as it may cause the adhesive to seep out and leave holes in your walls or ceilings. Gaffers tape comes in various grits and textures to cater to a variety of projects.

To remove gaffer tape, you should first unplug your power source and unplug any other electrical connections from the wall. You may also need to turn off the mains using a switch or lever and then carefully pull the plug out of the wall. Be very careful when working around your house and if there are small children in your house you should take their safety into consideration. Do not, under any circumstance, clean the adhesive off of the wall with water as this can cause serious damage to your wall and your personal possessions and could make the house uninhabitable.
