Sports nutrition products are basically manufactured for people who work out daily. These products help build muscle or to burn fat or provide more protein to fuel more intense workouts. These products are classified into performance enhancers, muscle builders, weight gainers, and meal replacement powders. Sports nutrition products are used for weight management.

Growing health awareness among consumers is encouraging people to participate in sports activities. This is in turn is creating demand for sports nutrition products. Additionally, the increasing obese population is also propelling market growth. According to the World Health Organization, in 2019, an estimated 38.2 million children under the age of 5 years were overweight or obese. Overweight and obesity are now on the rise in low- and middle-income countries. Almost half of the children under 5 who were overweight or obese in 2019 lived in Asia.
