Many cosmetic surgery procedures can involve the use of pharmaceuticals, either with invasive or non-invasive procedures, which is one of the major reasons why patients choose a cosmetic procedure. According to American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) 2019 report, 16,349,031 cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures were reported in 2019 compared to 16,090,952 in 2018. Pharmaceuticals can be administered through IV and injection. These medications are administered on an outpatient basis, so if a patient experiences an allergic reaction or gets the wrong medicine, they can simply be taken back to the hotel and got another prescription.
